Feast day of the Beheading of St. John the Forerunner solemnly celebrated

In Velika Foca, a Decani metochion dedicated to St. John the Baptist, the feast day of the Beheading of St. John the Forerunner was solemnly celebrated. The Hierarchal Divine Liturgy was served by heugomen of the monastery of Decani, archimandrite Sava with concelebration of protopresbyter-staurophor Milenko Dragic, heugomen of the Zociste monastery protosyngellos Stefan and the parish priest of Orahovad presbyter Sinisa Jerinic. In the Liturgy about hundred believers took part from Orahovac and Velika Hoca. There were lots of children who carried icons in the solemn procession.

The monastery slava of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist was solemnly celebrated todat in the monastery Socanica. The Divine Liturgy was served by heugomen of the monastery of Crna Reka protosyngellos Jovan with the concelebration of four priests. At the end of the Liturgy f. Jovan blessed and cut the slava cake with heugomen of the monastery hieromonk Damjan who then prepared a slava lunch for all the present.

Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren was in a visit to the Diocese of Bihac-Petrovac, where today on the occasion of today's slava of the monastery Rmnja served  the Holy Liturgy along with Bishop Hrizostom of Bihac-Petrovac and the priesthood of the Diocese.
