Feast Day of Saint Sava in Prizren

Saint Sava was solemnly celebrated in the imperial city of Prizren. Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren served the Holy Liturgy along with the clergy. Bishop Teodosije ordained the Venerable hieromonk Andrej of Decani to the rank of protosyngellos, who is also a professor at the Prizren Seminary. After the Liturgy students of the Prizren Seminary chanted the hymn to Saint Sava, and Milica- the only Serbian pupil in Prizren- recited a poem.

Following the festal luncheon at the Episcopal Palace in Prizren, the Saint Sava Academy was arranged at the Seminary of Saint Cyril and Methodius. Keynote speaker at the Academy was His Grace Bishop Teodosije, who spoke about Saint Sava.

After the interesting programme, Mr. Mirko Krlic, Assistant Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohia, as a representative of the Government of Serbia, addressed the present and distributed monetary aid to students, professors and the staff of the Seminary. Mr. Stanko Stanic, rector of the University of Banjaluka, a great friend and benefactor of the Prizren Seminary also addressed the gathered.
