Feast of St. Theodore the New Martyr

On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, Metropolitan Ireneos of Myriophyton and Peristasis presided over the Divine Liturgy together with the parish priest Archimandrite Agathangelos, Patriarchal Deacon Nephon, and Deacon Stephen from Romania for the commemoration of the Feast of St. Theodore the New Martyr of Byzantium at the Dormition of the Theotokos Koumariotissa Church in Nihori.

Among those in attendance were His All-Holiness, the President of the Community and Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Mr. Lakis Vingas, Abbot Stephen of the Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration Dryovounio, the New Democracy Member of the Parliament, Mr. George Kasapidis, the Mayor of Eordaia in Greece, Paraskevi Vryzidou, and the Coordinator of Education in Istanbul, Mr. Stavros Gioltzoglou. A reception followed in the Community Hall.
