The Feast-day of Saint Nicholas celebrated in Nurnberg
The feast-day of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker of Myra, the patron saint-day of Bishop Sergije, was solemnly celebrated in the church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Nurnberg on 19 December 2016.
On the eve of the feast-day, His Grace Bishop Sergije of Frankfurt and All Germany officiated the Vesper service in attendance of His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Arianna (Ecumenical Patriarchate). On the very feast-day Bishop Bartholomew of Arianna officiated the Holy Liturgy with the concelebration of Metropolitan Seraphim of Germany, Central and North Europe (the Romanian Patriarchate), Bishop Sergije of Frankfurt and All Germany and protopresbyter-staurophor Sotirios (Ecumenical Patriarchate) and some local parish priests.
The Holy Liturgy was attended by the Consul of the Republic of Serbia in Frankfurt Mr. Branko Radovanovic.
Following the Liturgy, the slava (patron saint) cake and wheat were blessed.
