Four books on the contribution of the Serbian Orthodox Church to the dialogue with Muslims
The Publishing Foundation of the Archdiocese of Belgrade-Karlovci of the Serbian Orthodox Church has published four scientific monographs in English authored by Deacon Dr. Aleksandar Prascevic on the topic of Dialogue between Orthodox Christians and Muslims in the Balkans, which represent an exhaustive and comprehensive history of the contribution of patriarchs, bishops, priests and monks of the Serbian Orthodox Church to the dialogue with leaders and representatives of Islamic communities in the period from 1920 to 2009.
This scholarly work will provide readers with the opportunity to get acquainted with the efforts of the Serbian Orthodox Church in preserving peace and coexistence with Muslims in the Balkans through a comprehensive and dynamic dialogue, despite difficult historical circumstances.
A scholarly contribution to the development of the research project of Deacon Dr. Aleksandar Prascevic, written as part of a post-doctoral fellowship at the Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, was made by eminent university professors, who are experts in interfaith relations, Islam and Muslim history. The supervisor of this project is Professor Dr. Angeliki Ziaka from the School of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the reviewers are Professor Dr. Darko Tanaskovic, Professor Dr. Dragan Simeunovic, Professor Dr. Miroljub Jevtic, Professor Mufti Mevlud ef.
