Government demands immediate resumption of dialogue
The Serbian government held a meeting on Monday and unanimously decided to demand an urgent resumption of the EU facilitated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. The Serbian government did not accept the principles that have been offered in Brussels as they did not guarantee full security to the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and they were not enforceable.
“The Serbian government cannot accept the principles that have been verbally conveyed to its negotiating team as they do not guarantee full security, survival and protection of human rights of the Serbian people living in Kosovo and Metohija. That agreement is not enforceable and would not lead to the final and sustainable solution”, said Prime Minister Ivica Dacic at the session of the Government.
The Government of Serbia authorized Prime Minister Dacic to inform the European Union about the Belgrade’s decision.
