Great Martyr St. Demetrius sublimely celebrated in New Belgrade

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Great Martyr St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki in New Belgrade, with the concelebration of the priesthood of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.

After the cutting of slava cake, the gathered faithful people, His Excellency Mr. Alexander Vasilyevich Konuzin, the ambassador of the Russian Federation, as well as the hosts of slava, were addressed by His Holiness who reminded them of the life of the Great Martyr St. Demetrius, the breadwinner of the city of Thessaloniki. Serbian Patriarch congratulated the slava to priests and parishioners and wished them the end of the works on this gorgious New Belgrade's church. 

This year's hosts of the slava with their families Radenkovic, Cvetkovic and Vucic prepared a solemn table of love in a salon of Jugoport in New Belgrade.
