Saint George Cathedral, the official seat of the Ecumenical Patriarch has reopened after the completion of restoration works in Istanbul. The cathedral is UNESCO world heritage site. His All Holiness Bartholomew – Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch presided over the reopening ceremony 0n 19th November 2017.

Ecumenical Patriarch thanked Turkish president Erdoğan and the Directorate General of Foundations for their support and help in the renovation works.
