Holy Liturgy on Easter in Cathedral Church in Belgrade

The most joyous Christian holiday - Ressurection of Our Lord, in the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac was celebrated with the Divine Liturgy served at midnight and on Sunday morning, in the churches full of pious people of the Serbian capital - the people eager to meet the Ressurected Lord through receiving Sacrament.

In the Cathedral church in Belgrade, His Grace Bishop Atanasije, Vicar of Patriarch, in the presence and with blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with a beginning at 9am. His Grace Bishop was concelebrated by priests and deacons of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.

The Holy Liturgy was attended by the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, minister of Police Mr. Ivica Dacic, deputy president of the Belgrade City Assembl, Mr. Zoran Alimpic, representatives of the Serbian Army, and other guests.

At the Liturgy the Easter Epistle of Patriarch Irinej of Serbia was read.

After the Holy Communion the faithful remained in a joyous conversation with Bishop Atanasije and priests.
