The International scientific seminar Ruler, monk and saint Stephen Nemanja – Venerable Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher and the Serbian history and culture began yesterday, on the 22nd October 2014, with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the Patriarchate’s chapel.

His Holiness Irinenaeus, Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the Patriarchate’s chapel of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher in Belgrade on 22 October 2014.  He was concelebrated by Their Graces Bishops Joanikije, the organizer of the International scientific conference, and Arseny of Toplica. His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Raska-Prizren attended the Liturgy.

Among the concelebrants there were also: Archimandrite Tikhon, head of the monastery of Studenica, protopresbyter-stavrophor Dr. Savo Jovic, chief secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops; protopresbyter-stavrophor Professor Dr. Vladimir Vukasinovic, hierarchal dean of Belgrade one; protopresbyter-stavrophor Stojadin Pavlovic, director of the Administration office of the Patriarchate; presbyter Vladimir Vranic, clerk of the Office of the Holy Synod of Bishops for inter-Church relations; presbyter Vukasin Milicevic, editor of the Radio Slovo ljubve; presbyter Mihailo Rapaic, protodeacon Stevan Rapajic, deacon Vladimir Rumenic, as well as deacon Aleksandar Sekulic.

The choir of students of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of the University of Belgrade chanted.
