Icon of archangels miraculously survives apartment fire

Fire tore through an apartment at 49 Epirus Street in the Athens suburb of Ilioupoli on Wednesday. Despite the damage done, an icon of the holy archangels in the room where the fire started survived, leaving only the faces of the Heavenly ministers visible.

Unfortunately, the 86-year-old owner of the icon and her son had to be admitted to the hospital for respiratory problems.
