Messages of condolence on the occasion of the death of Bishop Atanasije

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch, has received numerous messages of condolence on the occasion of the death of the retired Bishop Atanasije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina.

Letters expressing their condolences to the Patriarch and the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church with prayers for the repose of the soul of the newly departed Bishop Atanasije were sent by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem and All Palestine, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria and Patriarch Daniel of Romania, as well as Metropolitan Silouan of Mount Lebanon and Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk.

Telegrams of condolences were sent by Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Dr. Nenad Popovic, Acting Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities Mr.  Vladimir Roganovic, PhD; Director of the Republic Secretariat for Religions of the Government of Republika Srpska, Mr. Dragan Davidovic.
