Jubilee of SASA
The Serbian Academy of Sciencies and Arts celebrates the 170th anniversary. On this occasion from today until November 20 numerous programs, exhibitions, concerts and solemn academies will be held.
On the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the Serbian Academy of Sciencies and Arts from today until November 20 numerous programs, exhibitions, concerts and solemn academy will be held. At the SASA Gallery a concert was held where miniatures of all composers, academicians of the SASA were performed.
On the Kalimegdan a bust to Laza Kostic will be tomorrow revealed, and at the SASA Gallery an exhibition Academician the fine artist will be opened at which works from the Art collection of the SASA will be exhibited.
The Day of the Academy will be marked with a program in the Formal hall of the SASA on November 19, with a speech of the president of the SASA academician Nikola Hajdin, welcome speeches of President Boris Tadic, Minister of Education and Science Zarko Obradovic and Minister of Culture, Media and Information Society Predrag Markovic.
In the art program a composition of the youngest academician, corresponding member of the SASA Isidora Zebeljan will be performed: Miracle at Sargan, song for oboe and violin of the academician Dejan Despic Per due, for oboe and violin. Music will be performed by Julija Harting, violin and Borislav Cicovski, oboe.
Academician Predrag Palavestra will remind of the beginnings of the SASA, and academician Ljubomir Simovic will prepare texts of the first members of the SASA Jovan Sterija Popovic, Sima Milutinovic Sarajlija, Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic and Petar Petrovic Njegos about whom will be spoken by actors Natasa Ninkovic, Gojko Santic and Nebojsa Dugalic.
Marking the 170th anniversary of the SASA will be ended by a concert of chamber music of the composers, members of the SASA on November 20 in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Foundation.
