KFOR Commander at the Patriarchate of Pec
His Grace Bishop Jovan of Liplja, Vicar of Serbian Patriarch, recieved last Saturday, on November 19, 2011 at the Patriarchate of Pec the KFOR Commander Major General Erhard Drews.
General Drews with his associates accompanied by Bishop Jovan firstly visited the Holy Salvation church and other churches of the Patriarchate of Pec and got to know the history of this sacred place and his significance for the Serbian people and the whole Orthodox Church.
In an open conversation which followed, General Drews expressed his readiness, as well the readiness of KFOR, not to permit a repetion of the situation which happened in 1999 and 2004, as well as his deep impressions of the Mother of all Serbian churches.
Regarding the situation on the north of Kosovo, General particularly underlined the importance of restraint, what he pointed out as he said it as a daily message to his officers and soldiers.
