Leaders of the Serbian people at the Patriarchate
The Holy Assembly Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church received in audience president of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Milorad Dodik at the Patriarchate on the 13th of May 2019..
The conversations dealt with mostly Kosovo and Metohija, when it was stated that the situation was very difficult in that southern Serbian province and that, given some circumstances, it is uncertain what a solution to the issue will be.
The Chairman of the BH Presidency Milorad Dodik also participated in the conversations at the Patriarchate. He said beforehand that Vucic's conversation with the Patriarch and the bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church was important because without a joint position of all important factors in Serbia and of all Serbs no important national issue could be solved.
After the conversations with the Patriarch and the Bishops at their annual gathering of the Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, President Vucic emphasized that he would continue to fight, to achieve the maximum out of everything that one could achieve for the Serbian people, while preserving peace and stability.
Mr. Vucic explained that he would continue to work in the best interest of the people of Kosovo and Metohija and of the country as a whole, expressing conviction that in future we will be able to look forward to new economic successes, to opening of factories… without dealing with strategic issues only.
