Letter from Ecumenical Patriarch to Patriarch of Serbia

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent a heart-warming letter to the Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Irinej, in which he wishes him a speedy recovery.

“I heard that you suffering due to health issues,” says the Ecumenical Patriarch in a handwritten letter he sent to the Patriarch of the Serbian Church, who was diagnosed with the coronavirus. “I would like to wish you a speedy recovery. I am certain that you will soon recover, physically and spiritually. The power of Your faith will prove to be stronger than the coronavirus and, therefore, you will soon return to Your high-level and sacred duty. This is what we all wish here at the Fanar, together with the Hierarchs, your clergy and your people, who are praying constantly for their respected Patriarch,” he said in the letter.

“Your Beatitude, we sincerely love you and we pray intensely and fervently for You,” the Ecumenical Patriarch added.
