On Friday, March 9, the Third Friday of the Great Fast, faithful gathered at New Marcha Monastery to serve the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts.

Celebrating the Holy Liturgy, in the presence of the Dean of Cleveland and the gathered people of God, was the new Spiritual Father of New Marcha Monastery Hieromonk Maxim (Ilic), joined by Protodeacon Ljubisa Mitrovic.  When the faithful were called forward in “the fear of God, with faith and love draw near”, many approached the Holy Chalice to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

After the Divine Liturgy, everyone gathered for a meal to welcome the newly appointed Hieromonk Maxim, who, according to His Grace Bishop Irinej, came to New Marcha Monastery to contribute to the mission of the Holy Church.

On behalf of His Grace, a warm welcome was offered to Fr. Maxim by Cleveland Dean Fr. Dragan Goronjic.
