Thousands marched for life in Bucharest on Saturday, the president of Students for Life Association, Alexandra Nadane, reports. The pro-life manifestation carried out on 25 March 2017 under the slogan Help the mother and the child! They depend on you! People of all ages marched on the streets of Bucharest carrying banners and the national flag.

Young people, families with children and elderly persons participated in the peaceful demonstration. They sang and chanted slogans supporting life and family. Several people wore Romanian traditional costumes. A concert entitled Live for life was held in the Youth Park (Parcul Tineretului) at the end of the demonstration.

This year’s March for Life was organised in over 285 cities in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. According to a statement issued by the Students for Life Association, over 110,000 people marched all across Romania on the Feast of the Annunciation to support life and speak up for unborn children. The March was given the blessing of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
