The memorial day of the burning of the holy relics of St. Sava marked

This year also the Serbian Orthodox Church prayerufylly, conciliarly and liturgically remembers the mindless act of the burning of the holy relics of St. Sava - our spiritual  founder, the first-enthroned and teacher. His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch led the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the Memorial Cathedral of St. Sava in Vracar, the magnificent  monument that Serbian people is completing in glory and honor of Lord Jesus Christ and St. Sava.

In the presence of many believers of the Serbian capital, Patriarch was concelebrated by His Grace Vicar Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, priests of the St. Sava Cathedral led by protopresbyter-staurophor Radivoje Panic, as well as priesthood of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.

The Service of God was attended by Mr. Mladjen Djordjevic, the Adviser to the President of the Republic of Serbia; professor Dr. Vojislav Milovanovic, the main architect of the St. Sava Cathedral, as well as representatives of the Society for building St. Sava Cathedral, City of Belgrade, The Municipality of Vracar, Ministry of Culture and Education and the Crown Council.
