16 years passed since the suffering of Serbian children at Gorazdevac by August 13, 2019.

Ivan Jovicic and Panto Dakic were killed by automatic weapons while swimming in the rural Bistrica River during a summer holyday. Four more children were seriously injured. No perpetrators were found and legal investigation process was suspended in 2010. On 13 August 2003, Ivan Jovovic (19) was killed on the spot, while the 12-year-old Panto Dakic died in hospital in Pec. Bogdan Bukumiric (14), Djordje Ugrenovic (20), Marko Bogicevic (12) and Dragana Srbljak (13) were seriously injured.

The most seriously injured Bogdan Bukumiric was transferred to the then French military hospital in Juzna (Sothern) Mitrovica, and on the way to the hospital an ambulance car was also attacked. After the first operation, Bukumiric, without signs of life, was transferred hastily to another hospital in (Northern) Kosovska Mitrovica, and from there by helicopter to the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, where he was in a coma for six days and survived four serious operations. The perpetrators have never been found.

After the panichida (memory service), a short funeral prayer was said by the graves of the innocently murdered children, attended by members of the families Jovovics and Dakics, some citizens of Gorazdevac, nuns from the Monastery Patriarchate of Pec and representatives of Serbian civil institutions.

Similar attacks on this village Gorazdevac were committed in the middle and by the end of 2015, but fortunately without human victims.
