Metropolitan Amfilohije concluded his visit to the Diocese of Buenos Aires and South-Central America
At the end of this annual canonical visitation to the Diocese of Buenos Aires and South-Central America, its administrator His Eminence Amfilohije, Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, had various activities.
The Metropolitan attended the Holy Liturgy which was served by the recently ordained priest Milenko Ralevic and hierodeacon David (Janketic). In the afternoon, the Metropolitan attended the reception given by the Metropolitan Ignatius of Argentina and South America of the Moscow Patriarchate. The Metropolitan was escorted by Bishop Kiril of Dioclea and protodeacons Nikola Radisa and Vladimir Jaramaz. The reception was also attended by Bishop John of Caracas and South America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
In a cordial atmosphere during the lunch, the Hierarchs discussed the ways and possibilities of improving missionary activities of the Orthodox Church in South and Central America. The general conclusion was that one should work more in a spirit of unity and communion of One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Orthodox Church. The Hierarchs of the Russian Church presented their impressions of the recently jubilar Assembly of the Russian Orthodox Church on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the reestablishment of the Patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church. They talked about the marking of the 100th anniversary of suffering of Holy Royal Martyrs of the Romanovs next year.
In the evening, Metropolitan Amfilohije met with the petition of the family Nikcevic and baptized in Orthodox faith three-years-old Julija Macavara Nikcevic, who is the third daughter of Djordje Macavara and Olge Nikcevic.
On December 21st His Eminence Amfilohije left Argentina for Montenegro, where he arrived on December 22nd.
