Metropolitan Amfilohije receives the Charter of the University in East Sarajevo

In Vlasenica in the Republic of Srpska yesterday was celebrated the Day of University in East Sarajevo and the Patron Saint's Day - the feast day of Cyril and Methodius.

Following the opening of the building of the Facults of the Biotechnic sciences and the exhibition of the Academy of arts from Trebinje, there was the Formal academy, during which charters, awards, honorary titles and awards to many deserving personalities and the best students.

His Grace Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik and Tuzla consecrated the premises of the Faculty of biotechnical sciences.

The Steering Committee of the University of East Sarajevo on the proposal of the Committee for presenting awards and the Senate of the University, decided to award His Eminence prof. Dr Amfilohije Archbishop of Cetinje and Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral the Charter of  the University in East Sarajevo for 2011  "for special merit and exceptional contributions to the development of the University." 

The Charter was received, on behalf of His Eminence Metropolitan, by protopresbyter-staurophor professor Dr Boris Brajkovic, Dean of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Foca and the parishioner of Podgorica, because His Eminence could not attend this event since he is participating in the regular session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops.
