Metropolitan Amfilohije visiting Ecuador

His Eminence Amfilohije, Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral and the Administrator of Buenos Aires and South-Central America, accompanied by protodeacon Vladimir Jaramaz, passed Peru and its capital Lima while performing a canonical visitation to Ecuador and the city of Guayaquil on 1 December 2017.

Hieromonk Raphael with a group of feithful arranged a cordial welcome at the airport, from where they all visited Orthodox church of the Serbian Patriarchate and its parish house. This Orthodox community in Guayaquil is numerous and multinational consisting of Ecuadorians, Serbian, Russians, Ukrainians, Greeks and the natives. Metropolitan Amfilohije spent in Ecuador until 5 December 2017; from there he went to Guatemala to pay his canonical visit.
