Metropolitan Christopher decides to retire

According to Romfea, the head of the Orthodox Church of Czech lands and Slovakia, Metropolitan Christopher, decides to retire from the present office. He did this for “the good and peace in the Church”.
Archbishop Simeon of Brno and Olomouc, the senior bishop of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, was chosen as Locum Tenens of the Primatial Throne. People close to Metropolitan Christopher said that he decided after the retirement to have his place of residence in the Monastery of the Lord’s Transfiguration in Teschow.
