The Metropolitan of Germany will not celebrate his name day

Why did Germany decide to ban Holy CommunionMetropolitan Augustinos announced to the flock of the German Diocese, that due to the extraordinary circumstances he will not celebrate his Patronal feast day this year (June 15) in Bonn.

He will attend the prayer at the Divine Liturgy, which will be held in memory of St. Augustine, Bishop of Hippo, at the Church of the Assumption of the Savior in Berlin.

In fact, he invites the faithful, on the day of his Patronal feast day, to pray together asking the Lord for the end of the coronavirus pandemic that afflicts the world.
