Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk visits Serbian Orthodox Church
His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, the head of the Department for inter-church relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, invited by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej and with the blessing of His Holiness Irinej of Moscow and All Russia, is coming today, on 16 November 2012, in a three-day visit to the Serbian Orthodox Church. During the his stay in Belgrade he will meet separately with Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, the President of the Republic of Serbia; Mr. Ivica Dacic, the Serbian Prime Minister, and Mr. Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republic of Srpska.
Metropolitan Hilarion will consecrate on Saturday, 17 November 2012, the restored chapel of Iver and the Russian necropolis at the New cemetery in Belgrade, while on Sunday, 18 November 2012, will concelebrate the Serbian Patriarch at the Divine Liturgy in Belgrade’s Cathedral church.
