The Metropolitan of Kananga at the construction of the Annunciation Church in Bilomba

On Thursday, August 8, Metropolitan Theodosius of Kananga, with his missionary escort and after a laborious journey, arrived in the village of Bilomba to oversee the construction of the Church of the Annunciation of Virgin Mary. This Holy Church is built with the blessings of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and all Africa.

The Metropolitan of Kananga was warmly welcomed by the Orthodox faithful, and he made several suggestions for the course of work. The foundations were constructed with many cements, stones and irons and now the walls are being raised. In the afternoon the missionary group returned to Kananga to attend the Holy Service for the Prayer to Our Lady, Virgin Mary (Paraklessis to Theotokos).
