Metropolitan Porfirije met with the President of the Government of Croatia

On Tuesday, 25 November 2014, His Eminence Metropolitan Dr. Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana paid an official visit to President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia Mr. Zoran Milanovic.

During cordial talks, which were held at the palace of the Government in Zagreb, Prime Minister Milanovic congratulated His Eminence Porfirije on his election as Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana and wished him successful administration of the Diocese which had been entrusted to him, for the benefit of all the members of the Serbian Orthodox community.

His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije informed Croatian Prime Minister on life and work of the Metropolitanate of Zagreb-Ljubljana as well as about his activities and plans to improve his  archpastoral ministry.

The interlocutors agreed that dialogue, mutual respect and trust are a prerequisite and guarantee for an honest and good cooperation, along the  line of European standards.

Metropolitan Porfirije thanked Mr. President  for the hospitality and expressed wish that they should  meet in future as well and work together for the sake of improving good relations among the people of all religions and confessions living on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
