Midnight Christmas Liturgy at Saint Sava Cathedral
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the midnight Christmas Liturgy in Saint Sava Memorial Cathedral on Vracar. Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic attended the service.
The memorial cathedral of the Serbian people on Vracar tonight was full with people. Тhe head of the Serbian Church officiated at the solemn Pontifical Liturgy with the concelebration of the priesthood of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac.
Mr. Ivica Dacic, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia; Mr. Nebojsa Stefanovic, President of the Serbian Assembly; General Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces; Crown Prince Aleksandar Karadjordjevic with members of the Royal Family; Mr. Mileta Radojevic, the chief of the Department for Cooperation with Traditional Churches and Religious Societies; as well as Mons. Orlando Antonini, Apostolic Nuncio in Belgrade; and Stanislav Hocevar, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade were also present at the Christmas service.
