Miraculous icon of Most Holy Theotokos of Sicevica in Nis

Yesterday at 5 p.m. His Grace Bishop Jovan of Nis with priests and believers welcomed the miraculous icon of Most Holy Mother of God of Sicevica at the church of Sts. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen the Equal-to-the-Apostles. Bishop Jovan and the gathered prayed Mother of God by reading and singing the Annunciation acathist.

The icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Sicevica was created in 19th century in Russia and since 1917 it has been in the Sicevica monastery. Miraculous healings have been connected with thjis icon. The icon will be in this chuch of Sts. Emperor Constantine and Empress Helen until 9 October. The Holy Liturgy will be served daily beginning at 8 a.m. and the evening service begins at 6 p.m.
