In Andric-grad near Visegrad in Republic of Srpska, a monument of the Bishop and the great Montenegrin poet Peter II Petrovic Njegos was revealed in front of the church dedicated to Holy Prince Lazar and the Martyrs of Kosovo on 30 November 2013.

Poet and academician Matija Beckovic revealed the monument. The sculpture of Njegos, placed on the square of the same name, is a copy of the monuments which are located in Belgrade and Podgorica. The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik, who along with the chief creator of Andric-grad Emir Kusturica was most deserving that Njegos is in the City of stone (district of Visegrad), said that the monument represented the eternal testimony of love towards Njegos.

This unique ceremony organized on the occasion of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Njegos, was attended by Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska Zeljko Cvijanovic, ambassador of Russia in BiH Bocan-Harchenko, ministers of the Government of RS, Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral, Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral and many dignitaries from  cultural, religious and political life of Republic of Srpska and Serbia.

The monument to Njegos was a creation of sculptor Sreten Stojanovic. The solemn act of revealing was performed under the sign of the number 200 (200-anniversary of Njegos’s birth).
