Monument to Pushkin in Belgrade

His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral participated yesterday at the opening of the monument to the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin in the Saints Cyril and Methodius Park in Belgrade.

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Serbia Aleksandar Konuzin and deputy mayor of Belgrade Milan Krkobabic unveiled the monument to Alexander Pushkin, a bronze statue which is with the plynth two meter high and weighs 300 kg.

The bronze sculpture is a work of the Russian sculptist Kuznjecov Muromski and it is a gift of the Russian Writer's Association.
