Mostar in Prague
Representatives of Mostar Serbs and the mission of the Diocese of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral, were from June 28 until July 3, 2012 in a visit to Prague, upon the invitation of Czech Cardinal Duka, Archbishop of Prague and Metropolitan Christopher of Czech lands and Slovakia, as well as friends of the Serbian community of Mostar; Vese Djorem, brothers Sparavalo, Milutin Peric and others.
The official part of the meeting began with a reception of Bishop Grigorije and the mission of SOCC Mostar at Czech cardinal Duka and continued with the service of the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on Saturday, June 30, in the church of St. John of the Little Rock. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by Metropolitan Christopher, Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje,Herzegovina and the Littoral and many priests in the presence of a great number of believers from all parts of the Czech Republic. The Serbian Orthodox art ensemble "Gusle" made a magnificent performance for the Czech hosts. Writer Veselin Gatalo talked about the Serbs in Mostar, and in short presented a work of the SOCS "Prosvjeta", city council of Mostar, SOAE "Gusle", and his 13 published books.
On Sunday, in the church of the Assumption of the Theotokos the Divine Liturgy was served. Metropolitan Christopher of Czech lands and Slovakia and Bishop Grigorije served it. Besides guests from Mostar, there were also lots of Russian, Greek, Ukranian and other believers. On Sunday the Mostar Serbs visited Karlove Vari.
