The Nativity of the Lord celebrated in the monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi

In all the churches and monasteries of the Diocese of Budimlje-Niksic, Montenegro, midnight and morning services were officiated as well as  solemn liturgies in honour of the birthday of the Lord Jesus Christ.

His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic served the Liturgy in the Diocesan monastery of Djurdjevi Stupovi in concelebration of clergy and ordained monastics and with the prayerful participation of many faithful people.

Before the Holy Communion, the Christmas encyclical of His Holiness Patriarch and the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church was read. The Holy Gifts of Body and Blood of Christ were received by many believers, who, by fasting and prayer, had prepared themselves to celebrate the great feast of the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
