New church and parish centre in Ottawa consecrated

On Sunday, October 7, 2012 on the feast day of St. Stefan the First-Crowned, St. King Vladislav, St. David of Serbia and Holy first martyr Tecla, foundations of the new church and parish centre in Ottawa were consecrated. His Grace Bishop Georgije of Canada served the consecration with the concelebration of the competent priest  f. Aleksandar Gujanicic and deacon Stefan Ikonomovski with the presence of the Mnaging board and many believers.

The ceremony commenced with the Holy Liturgy in the old church and it was continued with the consecration of the foundations of the church and the parish centre starting at 1 p.m. at the new estate.

After the consecration the celebration was held at the premises of the old church.
This is a great day for the community in Ottawa and Gatineau, because with this rite the construction of the new church officially began.
