New Year's reception in Vienna

On Monday, 14 January 2013, when the feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord Jesus Christ was celebrated, and the memory of Saint Basil the Great and the New Year according to the Julian calendar, parish priests of the Vienna's church of the Resurrection of Christ, with their parishioners arranged a solemn New Year's reception for friends of the church.

Evangelical bishop Michael Binker, Mr. Milovan Božinović, ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Austria; Dr. Anton Stifter from the Ministry of education and culture; Dr. Matthias Tschirf, representative of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), and many others were present at the reception.

His Eminence Arsenios, Metropolitan of Vienna and Austria and Exarch of Hungary of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, made an honor with his presence and participation in the vesper service.
