Your Excellencies, Dear friend, Mr. Akkan Suver, Distinguished participants,

It is an honor once again to be invited to address this gathering of the Eurasian Economic Summit, organized for the 20th time here in Istanbul for high-level dignitaries and policy-makers to consider the relationship between international economy and global security in our troubled age. We wholeheartedly congratulate the Marmara Foundation for having the courage and vision to establish this groundbreaking initiative, which has played a crucial role in assembling so many world leaders on such compelling challenges of our time.

Visit to His Beatitude Patriarch John X

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited His Beatitude Greek Orthodox Patriarch John X at his residence in Balamand. His Holiness wished His Beatitude a good health and recovery. He also presented his condolences in the name of the Syriac Orthodox Church to His Beatitude and the sister Greek Orthodox Church for the passing away of Metropolitan Elia Saliba of blessed memory.

OCP Secretariat Condemns Terrorist Attack in St.Petersburg

The Secretariat of the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE (Pan-Orthodox Christian Movement) issued the below statement in solidarity with the victims of the recent terrorist at the Saint Petersburg subway, Russia: -The Secretariat members of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE strongly condemns the recent terrorist attack in Saint Petersburg, that claimed the lives of many innocent civilians. May the souls of departed civilians rest in eternal peace. May God give lasting peace to the nation of Russia. We stand in complete solidarity with Russian people.
