Njegos Serbian Youth Chorus at Cleveland Museum of Art
A beautiful concert was given by our Njegos Youth Chorus of St. Sava Cathedral in Parma, Ohio. The chorus performed at the Cleveland Museum of Art during the International Community Day celebration. The program included music to celebrate the 800 years of the Serbian Orthodox Church. To open the program the chorus sang the Hymn to St. Sava to honor our first Archbishop of the church.
Two musical selections were sung that the text was written by Bishop Nikolaj Velimirovic, who did mission work here in the US from 1946-1956.
Music director Mr. Milan Damljanovic lead this beautiful group to share Serbian culture with the Cleveland community through song.
