Serbian Patriarch Irinej sends condolences to Patriarch Kirril of Moscow and to President Medvedev

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch sent condolences to His Holiness Patriarch Kirril of Moscow and All Russia and to President of the Russian Federation Mr. Dmitry Medvedev regarding the yesterday's tragic terroristic attack in Moscow:

On the occasion of the terrible tragedy with great victims that has hit the Russian capital at the international airport "Domodedovo" when it was killed 31 people and injured more than 130, we ask You that together with the families of victims and the whole Russian people accept our sincere and deep condolences.

We pray to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Who is the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25) for the repose of their souls in the Kingdom of heaven, and You, the families and the brotherly people of Russia comfort in pain.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch thanks for Christmas greetings

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch exchanged Christmas greetings with all heads of Orthodox autocephaly and autonomous Churches, many archbishops, metropolitans and bishops. Serbian Patriarch Irinej has received lots of greetings from higher and secondary education institutions of the Serbian Orthodox Church, administrations of monasteries and many believers in the country and from the diaspora.

Not being able to individually thank everyone, he does in this way, with best wishes for every good of all the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church, by sending them a fatherly greeting  and patriarchal blessing.

First Christmas Festival of Religious Music ends in Moscow

The First Christmas Festival of Religious Music held with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia ended in Moscow on 23 January 2011. The last concert was performed at the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music.
