On April 4, 2017, the Office for the Dead for those who died in the terror act at the St. Petersburg metro was said at the St. Nicholas Representation Church in Sofia. The service was presided over by Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Bulgaria.

Before the requiem, Father Philipp read out the message of condolence issued by the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The service was attended by Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria A. Makarov, Mr. A. Kristov, chairman of the Athos Balkan Society, Ms. S. Sharenkova, chair of the Bulgaria-Russia Public Forum, Mr. B. Gromov, director general of the Moscow House in Sofia, staff members of the Russian embassy and parishioners, the website of the ROC Sofia Representation reports.
