An olive tree as a sign of town twinning between Vranje and Trikala
His Grace Bishop Pahomije of Vranje attended a solemn signing of the Twinning Agreement between the town of Vranje and the town of Trikala (Greece), which was signed by mayors Mr. Miroljub Stojcic and Mr. Hristos Lapas, on March 19, 2012 in the great hall of the Town Hall of Vranje.
As a sign of the twinning between the two towns, as well as the symbol of the lasting friendship, the delegation from Trikala led by Mr. Lapas brought an olive tree, which mayors along with Bishop Pahomije planted in the church yard of the Cathedral church of Holy Trinity in Vranje on March 20, 2012.
Within the visit to the Cathedral church, guests from Trikala toured the whole complex, and on the occasion of this event they also spoked to the listeneres of Radio "Iskon" of the Orthodox Diocese of Vranje.
Following the tour around the complex, in the hall of the Church community there was a table of love, where Bishop Pahomije discussed with the mayors on future cooperation and a realisation of mutual projects, which one of them is the school of Greek language.
