During the state of emergency, the Romanian Orthodox Church has intensified its presence both online and in society respecting all the required sanitary precautions.

Even before the state of emergency being declared in Romania, just as the authorities raised the level of alert regarding the coronavirus epidemic, the Church had started preparations to prevent a humanitarian crisis.

Cross processions with holy relics and icons will be held and molebens will be served every day this week at Moscow’s Sretensky Monastery for deliverance from the present coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the growing threat of the virus, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia has blessed monasteries to hold daily processions and molebens either at noon or following the evening service, reports the Sretensky Monastery website.

US Metropolitans offer part of their wage towards financial support of Church against coronavirus
