Patriarch Kirill attends a meeting of the CIS Interreligious Council

April 2010 - 11:20His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, during his primatial visit to Azerbaijan, attended a meeting of the CIS Interreligious Council, which took place on 25 April 2010 at the Caucasus Muslim Board. Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshuqur Pasha-zade, chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, made introductory remarks. The participants honoured with a silence minute the memory of the late Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visits St. Nicholas’s in Vienna
28. April 2010 - 11:13Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, while on a working visit to Austria, visited after the Divine Liturgy on 25 April 2010, St. Nicholas's Cathedral in Vienna. He was welcomed at the gates by Archpriest Vladimir Tyschuk, rector of the cathedral, and numerous parishioners.
The high guest surveyed the restored church and kissed the venerated icons. He gave the cathedral, which belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church's diocese of Vienna and Austria, an icon of St. Nicholas.
Metropolian Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk begins his visit to Italy

The Orthodox and Catholics in Charity' and make a key-report on Charity: Theology and Life of the Orthodox Church, the press service of the Byelorussian Orthodox Church has reported.

May 2010 - 11:02Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate's department for external church relations and rector of the Church Post-Graduate School met, on 7 May 2010 at the DECR, with Prof. Christos Yannaras, a renowned Greek theologian and religious philosopher. In a warm atmosphere they discussed various aspects of Russian-Greek cultural and academic relations.
Orthodox missionaries for Chinese students in Moscow
16. April 2010 - 13:21The missionary movement associated with Fr Daniil Sysoyev is promoting a number of cultural and religious initiatives among Chinese students in Russia. Fr Sysoyev is the Orthodox Russian Orthodox priest who was shot four times and killed by an unknown gunman in his Moscow church last November.
A guided visit to the Monastery of Saint Sergii for Chinese residents in Moscow was one of the first steps taken by the "Prophet Daniil movement".
