Primates of the Orthodox Churches of Greece and Russia celebrate Divine Liturgy at the Church of St. Panteleimon in Athens

On 2 June 2013, the fifth Sunday after Pascha, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and His Beatitude Archbishop Hieronymos II of Athens and All Greece celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Chu5ch of St. Panteleimon in Athens.

Concelebrating were ordained members of the Moscow Patriarchate delegation, Metropolitan Prokopios of Philippe, Neapolis and Thasos, Metropolitan Kosmas of Etolia and Akarnania, Metropolitan Pavlos of Sissanion and Siatista; Metropolitan Dionysios of Korinthos; Bishop Prokopios of Christianoupolis; and Bishop Gabriel of Diavlia.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill begins official visit to the Orthodox Church of Greece

On 1 June 2013, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia arrived in Greece at the invitation of His Beatitude Hieronymus II, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, and the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Greece.

Accompanying the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church are Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations (DECR); Bishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administrative Secretariat; Mr. Vladimir Legoida, chairman of the Synodal Information Department; archpriest Nikolai Balashov, DECR deputy chairman; archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, DECR secretary for Inter-Orthodox relations; protodeacon Vladimir Nazarkin, assistant to the DECR chairman; and Mikhail Kuksov, head of the patriarchal personal secretariat.

The Feast of St Constantine and the Inauguration of the Church of the Most Holy Virgin of Helopolis in Cairo by His Beatitude

On 26th May 2013, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa conducted the Inauguration Service of the wholly renovated Holy Patriarchal Church of the Most Holy Theotokos of Heliopolis, Cairo, sponsored by the Great Benefactor of the Community of Egypt, Mr. Kyriakos Kyriazis.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill receives President of the Democratic Party of Serbia

On 29 May 2013, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia received Mr. Boris Tadić, former President of the Republic of Serbia and incumbent President of the Democratic Party of Serbia at his request. The meeting took place at the work-room of His Holiness in the building of the Holy Synod in St. Petersburg.

Primates of the Church of Jerusalem and the Russian Orthodox Church consecrate the Naval Cathedral of St Nicholas in Kronstadt

On May 28, 2013, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and All Palestine and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia consecrated the Naval Cathedral of St Nicholas in Kronstadt after its extensive restoration and celebrated the Divine Liturgy in it.

His All-Holiness in the Czech Lands and Slovakia

On Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the invitation of the local Autocephalous Church, His All-Holiness visited the Czech Lands and Slovakia to attend celebrations for the 1150th anniversary since the arrival of Saints Cyril and Methodius in the region.

Accompanying the Ecumenical Patriarch were Metropolitans Yurij of Winnipeg and Canada and Chrysostomos of Myra, as well as the Grand Archdeacon Maximos Vgenopoulos, Archimandrite Amvrosios Chorozides, Mr. Nicholas Manginas, and Mr. Symeon Frantzelas.
