Church of Greece donates medical goods and supplies worth € 300,000

Accumulating all its forces to help medical institutions and doctors, the Belarusian Orthodox Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service, donated an oxygen concentrator to the Minsk City Oncology Clinic yesterday, on the feast of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, reports the press service of the Belarusian Church.

Bucharest Archdiocese tailor shops make disposable coveralls for volunteers who help the vulnerable

Church-affiliated volunteers who help vulnerable persons during the coronavirus crisis will receive disposable coveralls made by the tailor shops of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.

According to a statement by the Social-Philanthropic Department of the Romanian Patriarchate on Monday, the Archdiocese’s tailor workshop ‘Reverenda’ and the embroidery workshop ‘Altarul’ have already made 30 disposable gowns. They will produce another 60 items soon.

The Patriarchate of Alexandria and all of Africa expressed support to the Egyptian people and to the authorities’ fight against coronavirus pandemic.

The Patriarchate of Alexandria donated 200,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately € 11,120) to the Tahya Misr Fund (means “Long Live Egypt”) set aside to fund the state’s efforts to rescue anyone infected with the virus, such as the treatment of patients, the purchase of medical supplies and clinical equipment for nurses, and, more generally, for Egypt’s fight against the deadly virus.
