On 10 May 2014, Mr. Srđan Milić, president of the Socialist People’s Party of Montenegro, who had come to Moscow to attend the Victory Day celebrations, prayed at the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia at the Butovo firing range.

The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church warmly greeted the guest from Montenegro and noted the importance of upholding the unity of the canonical Orthodoxy for the development and prosperity of the country, as well as for strengthening the centuries-old friendship between the people of Montenegro and Russia.

Mr. Srđan Milić conveyed to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill greetings from Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Coastlands and presented the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church with an icon of St Peter of Cetinje.
