The celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Edict of Milan and the consecration of Podgorica's Cathedral chruch of the Resurrection of Christ tonigh last night was ended with the visit of the primates of the Local Orthodox Churches, led by Patriarchs Ecumenical Bartholomew and Serbian Irinej, to the Cetinje Monastery.

The church primates were welcomed by the brotherhood of the monastery of Cetinje led by abbot of this sacred place Archimandrite Metodije (Ostojic), professors and students of the Seminary "Saint Peter of Cetinje"led by the rector of this instution protopresbyter-stavrophor Gojko Perovic and the faithful of Cetinje. 

After the doxology in the monastery church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral greeted primats of the Orthodox Churches, representatives of other Local Churches, representatives of the Roman Catholic Church and Islamic community, ambassadors and other guests. He expressed his joy since the God made possible to visit this monastery in Cetinje after the consecration of the Cathedral church in Podgorica.

After the visit, an audience was held at the Metropolitanate and the solemn agape dinner. Then the high delegation of the Local Orthodox Churches left for Belgrade.

This is the first time in history that this great number of Orthodox primates visit teh Cetinje monastery at the same time.
