Patriarch Irinej arrived to Banjaluka

His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Irinej was welcomed ceremoniously in the evening on January 8, 2019 in front of the Holy Trinity church in Banja Luka, where doxology was served (photo gallery).

His Holiness Patriarch was greeted by the President of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic, Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, Chairman of the B&H Presidency Milorad Dodik, and Their Graces Bishops: Jefrem of Banja Luka, Fotije of Zvornik-Tuzla and Sergije of Bihac-Petrovac.

Patriarch Irinej will serve on January 9, 2019, on the feast of the Holy Archdeacon Stephen - the patron saint of the Republic of Srpska - the Holy patriarchal Liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Banja Luka, starting at 9 am.
