Patriarch Irinej celebrated at Beli Potok on St. Mary’s of Magdalene
His Holiness Patriarch Irinej celebrated in the church of St. Mary Magdalene in the village of Beli Potok, near Belgrade, at the foot of Mount Avala.
The church was built in 1883 thanks to voluntary donations and the work of the local faithful. The church was built in the style of the Raška school. The consecration of the church was performed by Metropolitan Michael in 1885. On the day when the Holy Church celebrates St. Mary Magdalene, a myrrh-bearer, on August 4, 2019, the clergy with the faithful people of Beli Potok welcomed His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia.
His Holiness the Patriarch presided over the Holy Liturgy with the concelebration of the protopresbyter Milan Jaksic, archpriest Milan Lukic, priests Rastko Puzovic and Ljubomir Petronijevic; protodeacon Stevan Rapajic and deacon Dragan Tanasijevic, in the prayerful presence of Vladimir Vicentijevic, dean of the church. His Holiness delivered a sermon.
