Patriarch Irinej leaves for a canonical visit to the Diocese of Canada

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, left for a two-week working visit to the Diocese of Canada today, on 2 February 2016.  The Serbian Patriarch is the administrator of the Diocese of Canada since the last year’s session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops. This is the third visit of His Holiness to the Diocese of Canada.

During this visit the Patriarch will hold a regular annual assembly of the Diocese of Canada. In addition, he will visit the Church-school congregations: Saints Cyril and Methodius in Guelph, Saint George in Waterloo, Holy Archangel Michael in Richmond Hill (North Toronto), Holy Trinity in Kitchener, Holy Archdeacon Stefan in Ottawa, Saint Anthony of  Syrmium in Ottawa, Saint Sava in Winnipeg, Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Gusher in Calgary, Saint Sava in Toronto and Saint Peter and Paul the Apostles in Oakville.

On the feast-day of Holy Three Hierarchs His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej will officiate the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the chapel of the monastery dedicated to these saints. On this occasion Patriarch Irinej will be welcomed by many priests and believers from all parts of Canada and America.
